Golf tournament to benefit Nicholson scholarship fund

Demcore Entertainment will hold the Western Maryland Waggle Golf Tournament at Beaver Creek Country Club on Monday, May 5, with a reception at Duffy's on Potomac in Hagerstown.

Proceeds will be donated to the Christopher Nicholson Scholarship Fund, the Smithsburg police officer who was killed in the line of duty.

The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. and will continue throughout the day with the reception starting at 6:30 p.m. at Duffy's.

The cost per player is $125, or $400 per foursome, which includes food and drink at the tournament, greens fees, golf cart, entrance into the hole-in-one competition (prize value of $10,000), golfer's goodie bag, an event windbreaker and a buffet dinner at Duffy's.


You can also sign up as a sponsor of the tournament. There are five main sponsorship categories available:

· Hole sponsor (18 available) $250

· Beverage station (2) $200

· Golf cart sponsor (25) $150

· Gold sponsor (unlimited) $100

· Silver sponsor (unlimited) $50

All sponsorships include a company brochure in the golfer's goodie bags, corporate listing on the event program, an event windbreaker, entrance to the country club the day of the event, as well as an invitation to the dinner and awards reception at Duffy's.
