MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Anthony P. Zelenka has been named vice president and administrator for City Hospital, West Virginia University Hospitals-East President and Chief Executive Officer Roger M. Eitelman recently announced.
Zelenka joins WVUH-East and City Hospital with more than 30 years of health-care management experience. For the majority of his career, he worked for Washington (Pa.) Hospital, where he served as vice president of clinical support services and plant operations. Most recently, he served as the administrator of a 589-bed long-tem care facility in Beaver, Pa.
During his extensive health-care career, Zelenka has managed a broad array of hospital service lines and been responsible for developing and implementing a number of strategic projects, including construction and renovation, technology upgrades and performance improvement.
Zelenka holds a master of health administration degree from The Ohio State University, and a bachelor of arts degree from Marietta College in Ohio. He also holds a certificate from the executive program in Healthcare Financial Management from The Ohio State University.
