Brittany Hyatt doubled in Sarah Mertz, who also doubled, with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as South Hagerstown rallied to beat Brunswick 7-6 at South on Monday.

Hyatt went 4-for-4 to lead the Rebels' 11-hit attack. Katie Forsythe had two hits and Mallory White drove in three runs.

Chelsea Showe struck out seven for the Rebels (2-3).

Boonsboro 8, Tuscarora 5

BOONSBORO - Bridgette Ringley had 14 strikeouts and two RBI to lead Boonsboro over Tuscarora.

Becky Young had two hits and three RBI for the Warriors (2-1).

Emily Wilson had two hits for Tuscarora.

Berkeley Springs 10, Clear Spring 0

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Sam Zahnow had four hits and three RBIs while Amanda Waltman fired a two-hitter as Berkeley Spring blanked Clear Spring.


The Indians (4-6) scored in every inning to end the game in the sixth by the 10-rule. Berkeley Springs was fueled by a four-run second inning.

Waltman (2-3) struck out seven and walked one.

Alyssa Spielman, Kayla Hill, Alexis Stotler and Waltman added two hits each. Hill drove in two runs while Spielman and Waltman added one RBI each.

McConnellsburg 6, Tussey Mountain 2

SAXTON, Pa. - Winning pitcher Megan Eichelberger had three hits to lead McConnellsburg over Tussey Mountain.

Samatha McQuade and Abby Cline each had two hits and two RBI for the Spartans (1-1). Eichelberger threw a five-hitter.


Boonsboro 11, Tuscarora 3

BOONSBORO - Chris Selby had two hits, including a three-run home run in the fifth, to lead Boonsboro over Tuscarora.

Jared Ferguson and Dwayne Washko each had three hits for the Warriors (1-2), while Ferguson drove in two runs. Starter Jake Pendergraff had seven strikeouts in five innings and Josh Smith struck out four in the final two frames.

Goretti 7, Hedgesville 1

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - J.J. O'Neill had three hits and two RBI as St. Maria Goretti beat Hedgesville.

David Bowen had two hits, Daniel Rost had two RBI, while Will Murray struck out six for the Gaels (2-5).

Jake Riner had nine strikeouts for the Eagles (7-2).

Berkeley Springs 6, Clear Spring 2

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Mike Twigg had 15 strikeouts as Berkeley Springs beat Clear Spring.

Jake Freels hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the fifth to seal the win for the Indians (3-0).

Josh Constable had two hits for the Blazers (2-1).

Broadfording 16, Grace 10

Zach Snodderly had three hits as Broadfording Christian beat Grace Academy.

Ben Barnett had a double for the Knights (1-1).

Musselman 12, Petersburg 2

INWOOD, W.Va. - Ricky Frame had two hits and two RBI to lead Musselman to a victory over Petersburg.

Josh Slonaker drove in three runs and Ethan French had two hits and an RBI for the Applemen.


Shalom 3, Heritage 1

Emily Madeira had a goal and an assist to lead a second-half comeback as Shalom Christian beat Heritage Academy in the season opener for both teams.

Hannah Misner and Olivia Grove had second-half goals for the Flames (1-0). Sarah Marquiss made seven saves, giving up the lone goal on a penalty shot in the first half.

Morgan McIntire scored a goal and Caroline Clark had nine saves for the Eagles (0-1).
