Pa. dairy calf sale to be held April 19

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The annual Franklin County Dairy Calf Sale will be Saturday, April 19, at 7 p.m. at the C.V. Antique Engine Show Grounds, Chambersburg.

The sale, which is open to the public, will feature approximately 25 calves and several embryo selections.

Franklin County 4-H Dairy Council sponsors the sale with the commission fees going to support 4-H Dairy Club educational activities in the county.

This year's sale chairman is David Koons, of Waynesboro, Pa.

Sale categories will be available at the Penn State Cooperative Extension Office in Franklin County at 1-717-263-9226.




Directions - Take U.S. 30 west from Chambersburg for five miles to Twin Bridge Road. Turn right onto Twin Bridge Road and proceed for approximately 1.5 miles. Bear left at the Twin Bridge Campground office onto Crider's Church Road and proceed a short distance to Peckman Drive. Turn left onto Peckman Drive and the show grounds entrance will be on your left.
