The Pride children, who go by the singing group name Precious Jewels, put on a Black History program at Contemporary School for the Arts and Gallery Inc. in downtown Hagerstown recently.
The program included: Jocelyn and Jeffrey singing "Swing Low;" James reading about Horace Pippin; Jade and Jonathan reading about Phillis Wheatley; Jade singing "Amazing Grace;" Jeffrey reading about Marian Anderson; the Precious Jewels singing "Wade in the Water;" Jocelyn and (friend) Janice reading about Anna Knight; Jazzmin reading "Still I Rise;" and Precious Jewels singing "Lift Every Voice and Sing."
The event was just one of the many Black History Month program provided by the art gallery.
