Hawks sweep pair from Hornets

Jacob Darr had two hits and three RBI and Roland Thiele had two hits, including a two-run home run, and two RBI to lead Hagerstown Community College to an 8-6 victory in the second game of a Friday doubleheader sweep of Shenandoah University.

HCC (13-7-1) won the opener, 4-3.

David Plank earned the save in the nightcap with three scoreless innings of relief with four strikeouts.

In the opener, Matt Greene and Charles Johnson had two hits each, Thiele had an RBI double and Kenny Feigley earned the save with two hitless innings.
