Arrest warrant issued for driver in fatal W.Va. crash

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A one-vehicle accident on March 8 in Berkeley County that resulted in the death of a 27-year-old Inwood, W.Va., woman allegedly involved an intoxicated driver, according to Berkeley County Magistrate Court records.

Ricky Luther Corbin, 23, of Bunker Hill, W.Va., was named in a warrant issued on Friday by Magistrate Joan V. Bragg for his arrest on a charge of driving under the influence with death, according to court records.

Dawnelle Hutzler, 27, of Inwood, W.Va., died after the red Dodge Durango she was in left the road and hit a tree in the 1500 block of Hatchery Road south of Martinsburg, police have said.

The vehicle caught fire after the crash was reported about 3:30 a.m.

Three other people in the car at the time of the crash, including Hutzler's sister, Sarah Hutzler, 24, of Bunker Hill, Erick W. Arthur, 26, of Kearneysville, W.Va.; and a 17-year-old were taken to area hospitals, police had said.

Berkeley County Sheriff W. Randy Smith declined to comment Monday.
