The Wilsons

Doris and Delano Wilson of Falling Waters, W.Va., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, Nov. 16, 2007. Their daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Steve Mullendore of Boonsboro hosted a surprise party for the couple Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, at the Brownsville Church of the Brethren.

They were surprised by their son-in-law, Neal Beard, grandchildren and great-grandson, as well as other family members and friends.

The Wilsons were married Nov. 16, 1957, at the home of the Rev. Robert Easterday in Boonsboro. Mrs. Wilson is the former Doris Knight of Dargan.

They live in Falling Waters, W.Va., and Port Orange, Fla.

The Jesses

Carl and Nancy Jesse of Williamsport celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, at Nick's Airport Inn.

The Jesses were married Nov. 30, 1957, at First Baptist Church in Wilkes Barre, Pa.

They are the parents of David Jesse and wife Debbie of Myersville, Md. and Gayle Myett and husband Jim of Chambersburg, Pa. They have two granddaughters and three grandsons.

Mr. Jesse is retired from the IRS. Mrs. Jesse is a homemaker.

The Cobles

Greg and Beverly Coble of Pinesburg celebrated their 40th anniversary Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at Western Sizzlin Steak House in Hagerstown. The event was hosted by Mr. Coble's brother and sister-in-law, Sonny and Donna Coble; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Andrea and Pat Myers; Debbie Boggs; and Nanette and Kevin Dagliano and their daughter, Elizabeth.

The Cobles were married on Nov. 18, 1967, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Williamsport by the Rev. Thomas F. Sinn. Mrs. Coble is the daughter of the late Taylor and Hypatia Hott of Williamsport. Mr. Coble is the son of the late Francis "Gene" and Mildred Coble of Williamsport.

Mr. Coble retired from Weis Markets after 39 years. After graduating from Williamsport High School in 1963, he served in the U.S. Air Force as an air traffic controller/staff sergeant.

Mrs. Coble is now a homemaker. After graduating from Williamsport High School in 1966, she worked for Weis Markets in Frederick, Md., as a deli manager.

The Cobles are the parents of Chris Anderson and Greg Coble.

They have three grandchildren.
