Flower & Garden Show

The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will sponsor the 14th annual Flower & Garden Show to raise funds for the HCC Alumni Amphitheater. More than 100 vendors are expected to set up displays. There also will be 12 seminars and demonstrations during the show. Today, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. HCC's Athletic, Recreation and Community Center, Robinwood Drive, east of Hagerstown. $4; free for ages 11 and younger. Easter egg hunt

The Washington County Recreation Department and Friends of the Rural Heritage Museum will host a free egg hunt. Today, 11 a.m. Washington County Agricultural Education Center, Sharpsburg Pike, south of Hagerstown. To register, call 240-313-2839.

Hagerstown Speedway

Anthem tryouts

The Hagerstown Suns will hold open tryouts for singing the national anthem during the 2008 season. Open to ages 5 and older. Participants must sing the national anthem a cappella or play it with an instrument. Singers are permitted to try out individually or in groups. Parents or guardians must accompany singers younger than 18. All winners must be able to provide their own transportation to the game. Choir performs

Concert series

Winchester Musica Viva will present Haydn's last oratorio, "The Seasons," settings of psalms for Lent and Holy Week, and a vocal piece written by Bobby McFerrin as part of the Leon Cross Concert Series. Today, 7:30 p.m. First Christian Church, 1345 Potomac Ave., Hagerstown.

Doll-making seminar

The Washington County Rural Heritage Museum will host a doll-making seminar for ages 4 to 12. Each doll kit costs $11 and the Miss Puppet Doll will be completed at the end of the seminar for each child to take home. Each child is asked to bring an adult to help complete the project. Poetry and music
