Sharpsburg Little League to hold tryouts

Sharpsburg Little League will hold tryouts over the next several days.

On Saturday, the times for tryouts are: 10- and 11-year-olds, from 10 a.m. to noon; 9- and 12-year-olds will try out from noon to 2 p.m.; and 7- and 8-year-olds will try out from 2 to 4 p.m.

In case of inclement weather on Saturday, tryouts will be held Sunday. The times for tryouts on Sunday are: 7- and 8-year-olds, noon to 2 p.m.; 9- and 12-year-olds, 2 to 4 p.m. and 10- and 11-year-olds, 4 to 6 p.m.

On Monday, tryouts will be held for 11- and 12-year-olds from 5:30 until dark; on Tuesday, 9-year olds will try out from 5:30 p.m. until dark; and on Wednesday, 10-year-olds will try out from 5:30 p.m. until dark.

All children between 9 and 12 who are not on a major league team must attend at least two tryout dates.

Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled tryout time to check in and be assigned a number.

Parents can still register children on any of these tryout dates. You must bring the player's birth certificate and three proofs of residency.
