GREENCASTLE, Pa. - An accident early Saturday involving a minivan and three tractor-trailers shut down traffic on Interstate 81 for about seven hours, according to a Pennsylvania State Police press release.
The accident occurred at 6:24 a.m. in the southbound lane of I-81 near mile marker 2 in Antrim Township, Pa. A 1993 Ford minivan driven by Vinh Tan Tran, 29, of Chantilly, Va., struck the rear of one of the tractor-trailers, police said. Tran then lost control of the minivan, which spun into the left lane and was struck by the two other tractor-trailers, police said.
The other drivers involved in the accident were Kevin Tranell Fulton, 35, of Jacksonville, Ark., who was driving a 1999 International tractor-trailer; Tony Lewis Foreman, 45, of Marshall, Texas, who was driving a 1997 Freightliner tractor-trailer; and Bright A. Evbie, 39, of Terrell, Texas, who was driving a 1999 Freightliner tractor-trailer, police said.
