Pa. man facing DUI, other charges after accident

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police charged a Fayetteville man with driving under the influence and resisting arrest after an accident Wednesday afternoon on U.S. 30 in Greene Township.

Jeffrey Stevens, age and address unavailable, was driving a 1991 Pontiac Grand Am west at 3:30 p.m. when he lost control of the car, police said. It ran off the road and flipped, police said.

The crash happened about a half-mile west of the Pa. 233 intersection, according to police.

Police said an male passenger in the car fled on foot. Stevens resisted police and attempted to flee, police said.

The charges were filed with Magisterial District Judge Larry Pentz, police said.

Tools stolen from Greene Township business

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Power tools, a generator and other equipment were stolen from Big Dog Rentals, 4795 Sunset Pike in Greene Township, between Feb. 22 and Wednesday, according to Pennsylvania State Police.


Police said the tools and equipment were stolen from a trailer and belonged to Stephen R. Bender, 45, of Shippensburg, Pa.
