Due to a source's error, a story on page A3 of Thursday's Herald-Mail misstated Washington County Commissioner James F. Kercheval's position on a bill heard Wednesday in Annapolis. Kercheval said Thursday in an e-mail that he supports the bill that would give the Washington County Commissioners the power to appoint Board of Education members if there is a vacancy.
The Herald-Mail apologizes for the mistake.
