Breakfast planned
The Potomac Valley Fire Co. will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. at the fire station in Dargan. Breakfast costs $5, which includes pancakes, sausage, sausage gravy, eggs, juice, coffee and milk. Children 6 years and younger eat for $2.50. The fire station is at 2202 Dargan School Road in the community of Dargan, six miles south of Sharpsburg on Harpers Ferry Road.
Salem Methodist to hold breakfast
Salem Methodist Church, Keedysville, will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Saturday, March 8, from 7 to 11 a.m. at the church.
The menu will include sausage, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, pancakes, juice, coffee and tea.
The breakfast costs $6.50 for adults; $4.50 for children 6 to 10; and no charge for children 5 and younger.

Little League to hold gun raffle
South Mountain Little League is holding a gun raffle for the month of April (numbers from the West Virginia Daily 3 lottery will be used).
Tickets cost $25 and must be purchased by March 31. For information/tickets, contact Tina Violet at 301-432-4578, J.R. Hawkins at 301-432-7638 or any league board member.
Proceeds from the event helps maintain the league's fields, uniforms and operating costs.
Aurelie King to visit Sharpsburg Lions
Boonsboro Middle School Peace Poster winner Aurelie King will join the Sharpsburg Lions during its regularly scheduled meeting Thursday, March 6. The Sharpsburg Lions Club has planned a full calendar of activities for the month of March.

Helen House to speak at center
Helen House will speak on the topic "Chest pain: Heart Burn or Heart Attack?" at the Senior Center in Keedysville Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. Helen will conduct exercises after the talk.
HCC exercises classes will continue Wednesdays at 10 a.m. Chair caning classes will resume Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. Participants must register through HCC for these classes.
Other regularly scheduled activities provided at the Southeastern Senior Center during the month of March include basket bean bag; bean bag toss; bingo; cards; coffee, conversation and newspaper every day at 9 a.m.; darts or Uno; horseshoes.
