February 28, 2008|By DAN DEARTH

The Board of License Commissioners for Washington County denied a Hagerstown man's request to open a liquor store near the intersection of Robinwood and John F. Kennedy drives.

The liquor board made its decision last week, saying in a letter that Ronnie Jiang failed to provide sufficient evidence that a liquor store was needed at the intersection.

Jiang has 30 days to appeal.
