MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A Martinsburg man who had been arrested six times for driving under the influence was arraigned Wednesday morning after he was arrested a seventh time several hours earlier, according to Berkeley County Magistrate Court records.
Homer Irvin Gray Jr., 63, of 212-A Winchester Ave., was arrested about midnight along Winchester Avenue (U.S. 11) near the community of Darkesville, W.Va., by Berkeley County Sheriff's Department Deputy T.D. Heckman, according to the officer's complaint.
Heckman charged Gray with DUI third offense after learning that the defendant was convicted of DUI second offense in March 2006 and had been arrested for DUI three times in the last 10 years, according to the deputy's complaint.
Gray also was charged with defective equipment, driving revoked for DUI and failure to sign a fingerprint card, according to court records.
