Citizens on Patrol aid cops

Hagerstown Citizens on Patrol logged 143 patrol hours and drove 525 miles on the streets of Hagerstown in January while assisting the Hagerstown Police Department in the suppression of crime.

Lt. Tim Wolford, liaison for the group, said during the patrols, citizens identified 10 traffic offenses, three criminal offenses, two nuisance calls, two suspicious persons, three suspicious vehicles and four disturbances, and made seven special checks on businesses and residences.
