Nine indicted by Berkeley County grand jury

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A grand jury convened Thursday for a third day of the February term of Berkeley County Circuit Court indicted nine people, according to Prosecuting Attorney Pamela J. Games-Neely's office.

Those indicted join 41 other people who were indicted Tuesday and Wednesday. Arraignment hearings for the accused will be held Feb. 25, Feb. 29 and March 3.

The grand jury will reconvene in May.

Those indicted Thursday were:

- Jason Lee Montgomery, 23, of 92 Charlotte Court, on counts of burglary, first-degree robbery and conspiracy in August 2007.

- Edward A. Mina, 31, of 12305 Learning Lane in Hagerstown, on counts of driving under the influence third offense, driving revoked DUI second offense, domestic assault, destruction of property, possession of marijuana, improper vehicle registration and no insurance for vehicle in June 2007.

- Matthew R. Pack, 22, of 2773 Butlers Chapel Road in Martinsburg, on counts of breaking and entering, petit larceny and conspiracy in April 2007.


- Darryl E. Palmer, 42, of 762 Middleway Pike in Inwood, W.Va., on one count of felony worthless check in June 2007.

- Robert E. Mathna, 69, of 183 Henson Blvd. in Falling Waters, W.Va., on counts of concealing stolen property, two counts of possession of stolen vehicle and conspiracy in January 2006 and September 2007.

- Patrick J. Sheetz, 32, of 406 Jefferson Ave. in Charles Town, W.Va., on one count of embezzlement between January and February 2006.

- Kenneth A. Wang, 22, of 147 Garden Drive, Apt. 104, in Martinsburg, on counts of conspiracy and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (cocaine) in June 2007.

- Throne R. Stroman, aka Alan Prestige, 25, of 346 Robert Drive, Apt. 1B, in Martinsburg, on counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy, interference with state police, driving without a valid operator's license and defective equipment in June 2007.

- Ernest J. Wingerd, 43, of 1282 Jacobs Road in Martinsburg, on counts of first-degree robbery, unlawful possession of firearm and possession of a controlled substance (heroin) in May 2007.
