Mountain View Reclamation

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Paula Benchoff, an employee of Mountain View Reclamation, recently celebrated 25 years of service with Waste Management.

Benchoff has held numerous positions for both Waste Management of Greencastle and Mountain View Reclamation over the years. In her present position as a scalehouse attendant, she is responsible for monitoring inbound and outbound truck activity, acquire and monitor data, communicate with various departments and all customers, keep accurate records of all tickets and manifests, and many special projects as assigned.

Prudential Franklin Associates

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Jamin Kimmel and Erin Mumbulo have joined the staff of Realtors at Prudential Franklin Associates Inc.

Both Mumbulo and Kimmel are members of the Pen-Mar Realtor Association and the Metropolitan Regional Information System.

Prudential Franklin Associates is at 730 Norland Ave. in Chambersburg.

The following members of the staff of Smith Elliott Kearns & Co. LLC recently were promoted.


Kelli A. Cobb was promoted to senior associate. She joined the firm in 2004 after graduating magna cum laude from Salisbury (Md.) University with a bachelor's degree in accounting and master's degree in business administration.

Judy K. Hebb was promoted to senior associate. She received her bachelor's degree from Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, W.Va. She has been with the firm for two years and has five years of tax and accounting experience.

Emily A. Kocher was promoted to senior associate. She joined the firm in 2006 after graduating from Shippensburg (Pa.) University.

Nina L. Murray, CPA was promoted to supervisor. She joined the firm in 2000 and has more than 28 years of experience in public accounting.

Leadership Washington County

The Washington County Leadership Development Program Inc. announces the following appointments.

Longtime board member Stephanie Stone, executive director of the Community Partnership, recently has been asked to serve on the "Youth Ready By 21" leadership team committee. Chaired by Brenda Donald, secretary of the Maryland Department of Human Resources, this group is tasked with developing a five-year action agenda for Maryland.

Class XX graduate Sam Cool, vice president of Planet Technologies, recently was appointed to the PenMar board.

Class XX graduates Rose Wolters of the Arc and Sid Gale of the Washington County Health System recently were installed as members of the board of directors for the Washington County Commission on Aging.

Terri Shoemaker-Kreit, of Smith, Elliot, Kearns and Co. LLC and current member of Leadership Washington County Class XXI, accepted an invitation to join the board of Children's Village.

Maryland Correctional Training Center

Gary Durboraw, correctional officer II on the 8-4 shift at the Maryland Correctional Training Center, has been named MCTC's Employee of the Month for February.

Durboraw demonstrates a constant effort in the fight against the introduction of contraband into the facility. His dedication and loyalty to his job is portrayed in his performance of his duties every day. He shows a lot of initiative every day and is more than willing to help out wherever he is needed. He accepts all assignments with enthusiasm and gets the job done. He works well with all officers and has a good working relationship with inmates.

Durboraw has been employed with MCTC since November 2002.


Sherry Kalbflesh, office secretary II to the 8-4 shift commander and custody supervisors was named Employee of the Month at Maryland Correctional Institution-Hagerstown.

Kalbflesh handles regular and special work assignments in an outstanding manner. She has been employed with the State of Maryland since 1992.
