Plamondon Companies hosts training session

The Plamondon Companies recently hosted an Essential Management Practices Skills Training at their training facility in Frederick, Md. It was attended by eight of their newer members of management of the Roy Rogers team. These associates took advantage of a comprehensive series of classes and programs designed to improve and expand their skills as members of the management team.

The weeklong program featured a variety of relevant topics including team building, interaction skills, crisis management, government regulations and policies and others. This specialized training is offered twice yearly to new managers in the Roy Rogers system.

Curves of Mercersburg opens

State Rep. Main St. in Mercersburg, Pa.

Orrstown Bank gives $2,500 to historical society

Ken Shoemaker, president and CEO of Orrstown Bank, and Paul Baynum, vice president and senior regional loan officer of the bank's Carlisle region, presented a check for $2,500 to the Cumberland County Historical Society. Accepting the check for the Historical Society were Linda Witmer, executive director of the Cumberland County Historical Society, and Kim Laidler, marketing and development.

Brook Lane employees honored at annual Winter Celebration

Brook Lane held its annual Winter Celebration and Service Awards Program on Jan. 18 at Fountain Head Country Club. Employees were recognized for years of service and received gifts. The recipients are as follows:

Leadership Washington County

An information session on the Leadership Washington County program will be held Thursday, Feb. 28, at 7:30 a.m. in the United Way/Community Foundation conference room on the second floor at 33 W. Franklin St. in Hagerstown.

Smart Company Magazine: The Business Voice for Frederick & Washington Counties, a monthly business-to-business publication, has launched its premiere issue.

Kate Rader, co-publisher of Smart Company Magazine, also is publisher for RidgeRunner Publishing and editor-in-chief of Hagerstown magazine. Also on the Smart Company Magazine team are Harby Tran, co-publisher and a native of the area who previously had worked in advertising, and managing editor Guy Fletcher, an award-winning journalist and public relations professional who has lived and worked in the region for two decades.

Fifteen thousand copies of Smart Company Magazine will be distributed monthly by mail to thousands of area businesses and also will be available at select locations.

CNB Financial Services

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Thomas F. Rokisky, president and CEO of CNB Financial Services Inc., the parent company of CNB Bank Inc., announced that CNB had consolidated net income of $2.5 million, or $5.48 per share, for the year ended Dec. 31, as compared to $2.5 million, or $5.39 per share, for the year ended Dec. 31, 2006.

CNB had total assets of $290.4 million at the end of 2007.
