Washington Co. Narcotics Task Force seeks woman

The Washington County Narcotics Task Force is asking for the public's help in finding Brittany Christine Duhamel, who is wanted for distribution of cocaine.

Sgt. Frederick Wolford said there is a warrant for Duhamel's arrest, and that she is known to frequent the Hagerstown area.

Duhamel, 20, is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 117 pounds.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Wolford at 301-223-2627 or 301-791-3205.

Martinsburg man pleads guilty to drug charge

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A 28-year-old Martinsburg resident entered a plea of guilty to a drug charge Wednesday in United States District Court in Martinsburg before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel.


U.S. Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that Terrell Deshawn Gatling entered a plea of guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine on Dec.13, 2006, in Martinsburg.

Gatling, who is currently in custody pending sentencing, faces a sentence of five to 40 years in prison and a fine of $2,000,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Erin K. Reisenweber. The case was investigated by the Eastern Panhandle Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, consisting of officers from the West Virginia State Police, Bureau of Criminal Investigation; the Martinsburg Police Department; and the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department.

Police seek man in white truck in burglaries

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - As they investigate a number of daytime burglaries in Franklin and Adams counties, Pennsylvania State Police are looking for a man driving a white truck with Maryland tags.

All of the burglaries occurred early Thursday in the Penn National and Greene Knolls developments, police said.

One homeowner surprised the burglar and was able to tell police that the burglar was a white man in his 20s, dressed in construction-style clothing.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 717-264-5161.

· Theft of a 2003 Volkswagen with Maryland tags 1BXP989, reported at 1:05 a.m. from 411 Reynolds Ave.

· Armed robbery, 626 Salem Ave., reported at 1:43 a.m.

· Theft of purse from A.C. Moore, 17656 Garland Groh Blvd., reported at 3:54 a.m.


· Second-degree assault, 137 Merrbaugh Drive, reported at 10 a.m., two arrests

· A bass guitar was found at 108 Randolph Ave., reported at 8:57 a.m.

· Damage to property, windows broken at 822 Marion St., reported at 9:17 a.m.

· Theft of a child's book bag from a vehicle at 549 Summit Ave., reported at 9:24 a.m.

· Lost or stolen Kodak digital camera, reported at 1:23 p.m.

· Theft of vehicle/recovered stolen vehicle from 1191 Fairchild Ave., reported at 7:10 p.m.


· Second-degree assault in the first block of West Franklin Street, reported at 5:23 p.m., arrest made.

· Theft of a purse from North Hagerstown High School, reported at 4:05 p.m.

· Burglary, 142 S. Mulberry St., toolboxes taken, reported at 4:21 p.m.

· Drug violation/littering, 900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, reported at 7:43 p.m., two arrests

· Attempted burglary, 30 E. Antietam St., reported at 9:15 a.m.

· Second-degree assault/disorderly conduct, 422 Salem Ave., reported at 10:18 a.m., one arrest
