Way to go, Samantha

Congratulations to you!  Many congratulations are extended to Samantha Kline of Halfway, who celebrated an outstanding accomplishment with her family this past marking period.

Samantha, a student at Springfield Middle School, received outstanding marks on her report card by achieving the distinguished honor roll.

Way to go, Samantha! Nanny and Pap Stonebreaker are very proud of you! Keep up the good work!

Annual indoor yard sale to be held

Saint James Brethren Church, at 17718 Lappans Road in Saint James, will host its annual indoor yard sale Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Breakfast will be available from 8 to 10 a.m. The breakfast menu will consist of pancakes with a side order of bacon for $3.50.


Lunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 1 pm. The lunch menu will consist of the following -- homemade soups: vegetable, chicken, corn and ham and bean, and sandwiches: country ham, baked ham, baked ham and cheese, and turkey. Some yummy delicious baked good items will also be available for purchase.

Rummage sale to be held

Emmanuel United Methodist Church, at 802 Summit Ave., Hagerstown, will host its semi-annual rummage sale on Friday, Feb. 29 and Saturday, March 1, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Soup, sandwiches, baked goods, and beverages will be available for purchase both days.  This event is a United Methodist Women project.

Spring craft bazaar to be hosted

Arc of Washington County's Vocational Day Program will have a spring craft bazaar on Friday, March 14, from 9 a.m. to  4 p.m. 

Many items will be featured, such as a variety of spring and Easter country crafts, raffles, food and baked goods.

All crafts available for purchase will be handmade.  

The center is at 840 Florida Ave. in Hagerstown.

Yard sale, car show set for April 26

Join the Williamsport area schools in a fundraiser to benefit the Williamsport Elementary Green Fund, Springfield Middle Band Boosters Uniform Fund and the Williamsport High Blue Band Uniform Fund on Saturday, April 26, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the school parking lots. 

A car show will be set up along with children's activities, yard sale, bake sale and concession stand.

Those interested in renting a space may reserve a spot for a fee of $10.

Items (nonclothing) will also be accepted for donation.
