HR management meeting

The Cumberland Valley Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management will hold its monthly meeting from 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Homewood Suites, 1650 Pullman Lane, Hagerstown.

Pete Madeo will present the program "What a Workforce Development Program Means to Local Employers."

Robert M. Snyder and Associates joins Smith Elliott Kearns & Co.

The accounting and consulting firms of Smith Elliott Kearns & Co., LLC and Robert M. Snyder and Associates, Certified Public Accountants, merged Jan. 1.

Robert Snyder, certified public accountant; Demaree Deardorff, certified public accountant; Todd Bard, certified public accountant; and Roxanne Crist join SEK&Co in the firm's Chambersburg office.

The combined firm employs more than 125 people and will continue to operate as Smith Elliott Kearns & Co., LLC.

Snyder founded Robert M. Snyder and Associates in 1976.

Commlink Systems wins quality award

For the fourth consecutive year, Commlink Systems in Hagerstown has won the quality award for excellence in customer service by Telecommunications Systems for 2007.

Annual Home Show to start Feb. 29 in Martinsburg

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Planning is under way for the 13th annual Home Show to be held Friday, Feb. 29 to March 2, at the Martinsburg Mall. The theme for this year's show is "innovation for the home." The three-day show, which is produced by The Eastern Panhandle Home Builders Association Inc., will feature more than 200 exhibitors, various seminars, a silent auction and visits from Bob the Builder.
