Baseball signups still going on

One more day to register for the Maugansville Little League. Registration will be in the Ruritan building in Maugansville on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Ruritan Club to meet Feb. 20

The Maugansville Ruritan Club meets on Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. If you are interested in helping to build a better community, contact Bob at 301-739-6742 to make reservations.

Ruritan plans pancake breakfast

The Maugansville Ruritan Club will host a pancake breakfast in their building on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 6:30 to 11 a.m. The menu includes all the pancakes and sausage you can eat, and tickets cost $5 for adults, $3 for those 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and younger. All proceeds help to support the many charitable programs the club sponsors.

Card party set for March 17

A card party will be held on March 17 at the Elks Lodge on Robinwood Drive. Tickets cost $2. Food and beverages will be available. There will also be a sweets table of pies, cakes, candy, cookies, etc. The public is invited to participate.


Elks Ladies selling sandwiches

The Ladies of the Elks and Associates is holding a ham sandwich sale fundraiser to benefit local charities or lodge requests. Country ham sandwiches sell for $2.50 each and city ham for $2. If you have an interest in buying any sandwiches, call Ann Smith at 304-274-2610 or Thelma Myers at 301-582-1558.

Deadline for orders is Thursday, Feb. 28. Delivery date is Monday, March 3.
