Born April 26, 1961, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Carolyn Lee Settles English of Falling Waters, W.Va., and Scott V.B. English of Wolfsville, Md.

He was a 1979 graduate of Hedgesville (W.Va.) High School.

He was a member of the Mason Dixon Drag Racing Association.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his stepmother, Linda F. English of Wolfsville; three sisters, Susan E. Kane of Falling Waters, Karen L. Franks of Spring Mills, W.Va., and Jennifer Long of Hagerstown; two brothers, Scott B. English of Martinsburg, and Phil G. Stevens Jr. of Hagerstown; three nieces; and one nephew.

There will be no viewing.

A memorial service will be Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at 7 p.m. at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg. Chaplain Gary Beaver will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, 8501 LaSalle Road, No. 106, Towson, MD 21286 or to a charity of one's choice.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. -- Betty Levina Luckett, 83, of 316 Northfield Ave., died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at Manorcare Health Services in Chambersburg, Pa.

Born Dec. 25, 1924, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Russell William and Gertrude Kurtz Luckett.

She was a 1942 graduate of Waynesboro High School.

From 1974 through 1987, she worked in the bakery department at Sunnyway Market in Greencastle, Pa.

She attended Calvary Assembly of God Church in Waynesboro.

She was a member of Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Auxiliary.

She is survived by cousins; and special friends, Betty A. Myers and William B. Baker, both of Waynesboro, and Brian L. Myers of Mont Alto, Pa.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Jane Gourley and Mildred G. Luckett; and one brother, Paul Luckett.

Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro. The Rev. Dwan N. Newsome will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Assembly of God Church, 116 Snider Ave., Waynesboro, PA 17268.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Louise Martin Bowman, whom he married Sept. 17, 1954.

Freida M. Smith

She is survived by brother, Albert Guessford of Ohio.
