Barbershop quartet to perform Sunday

The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, as part of its 2008 concert series, will present the Mason Dixon Barbershop Chorus on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

The chorus was formed more than fifty years ago in Hagerstown for men who wanted to sing and preserve four-part barbershop harmony.

The local chorus is one of more than 800 chapters in this country and abroad with a total membership in excess of 35,000.

The Mason Dixon Barbershop Chorus has performed extensively in the Tri-State area over the years. This program will consist of something for everyone, including old, new, comedy and gospel, all done in traditional four-part barbershop style.
