Teens to fast for 30 hours

February 13, 2008

STATE LINE, Pa.- Teens from State Line United Methodist Church are going to go without food for 30 hours next week to get a taste of what the world's poorest children and their families face every day.

The teens will take part in World Vision's 30-Hour Famine Feb. 22 and 23 by having an overnight lock-in at the church. During the event, they will learn what it's like to go without food for extended periods of time.

To raise money for World Vision's efforts to fight hunger, the State Line United Methodist Youth Group will host a Valentine's Dinner for Two tonight at 5 p.m. at the church.

For more information, go to www.30hourfamine.org or call 800-7-FAMINE.
