Washington County Technical High names students of month

LeeAnn Mullenix and Robert Butler have been named Students of the Month at Washington County Technical High School.

LeeAnn, a senior, is studying health occupations. Her classes include health occupations, AP biology (double period), English 12 and statistics.

She also is the corresponding secretary for SkillsUSA.

LeeAnn plans to attend Shepherd University and major in nursing.

She is a member of United Methodist Church.

Robert, a senior, is in culinary arts. His classes include culinary arts, AP United States history, English 12, physics and robotics.

Robert plans to attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania and major in culinary arts.

A musician, he participates in indoor percussion, outdoor marching band, jazz band, and orchestra. His favorite instruments are the marimba and bass.


Robert hopes to become a chef, with a goal of one day owning his own restaurant.

The items the students receive for receiving this award include a gift certificate from a local restaurant or business, their picture on display for a month, a free T-shirt from the printing department, 100 free business cards from the printing department, a free oil change from the auto tech department, a free haircut, manicure or facial from cosmetology department, a rsum letter from the principal, a first-to-leave-the-parking-lot pass and a free meal from the school's culinary arts department.
