Director of nursing named at facility
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Deana McClure has been promoted to director of nursing at The Shook Home, a continuing care retirement community. McClure was registered nurse assessment coordinator at the skilled care facility since 2003. She held the position of interim director of nursing before accepting the position of director of nursing that became effective Jan. 27.
McClure has had more than 20 years of experience in acute and long-term nursing care. She says she hopes to bring compassion, understanding and individualized care to the families and residents of the nursing home. "One of the most important goals that I have set is to provide the best quality care for our residents here at The Shook Home."
McClure lives in Chambersburg with her husband, Roger, and her two children, Jenny, a student at Shippensburg University, and Scott, a student at James Buchanan Middle School.
