Rebant named to Bath council

Hedrick appointed as recorder

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Ryan Rebant was chosen Friday by the Bath Town Council to fill an open council seat at a special town council meeting.

Rebant, 31, ran for a council seat in the last election.

Rebant, a retired U.S. Army captain, is employed by Berkeley Springs Cottage Rentals.

He and his wife, Stephanie, have lived in Berkeley Springs since 2003.

Councilwoman Irene Hedrick also was named the town's recorder at Friday's meeting.

Hedrick temporarily had been filling the town recorder position that was vacated by Garnet Marsh, Bath Mayor Susan J. Webster said.

The Town of Bath is the local government within Berkeley Springs.
