MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A young couple who police allege were selling heroin and crack cocaine from a hotel room in Martinsburg were in Eastern Regional Jail Monday night on drug charges, according to jail and court records.
Kimberly Clarie Hemple, 18, and Nathaniel Charles Smallwood, 22, each were charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine and conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance by Martinsburg Police Department Patrolman D.L. English, according to court records.
Magistrate Harry L. Snow set a $60,000 bond for each. English said in his complaint that Hemple and Smallwood do not have a fixed address.
Hemple and Smallwood were found early Monday in Room 325 of the Days Inn at 205 Viking Way after the hotel manager told English he suspected illegal activity and invited the officer to investigate, according to the officer's complaint and jail records.
