Notable new books at Washington County library

Washington County Free Library has announced its monthly BookShare Notable Hardcover Fiction and Nonfiction Lists for February. The titles featured on these lists are scheduled for publication during the month of February and can be borrowed from the library.

Among the titles featured on the fiction list is "Song Yet Sung" by James McBride (Riverhead), "Before Green Gables" by Budge Wilson (Putnam), and "The First Patient" by Michael Palmer (St. Martin's Press). In nonfiction, readers can look forward to "American-Made: The Enduring Legacy of the WPA: When FDR Put the Nation to Work" by Nick Taylor (Bantam), "The Physics of NASCAR: How to Make Steel + Gas + Rubber = Speed" by Diandra Leslie-Pelecky (Dutton Books), and "Not the Girl Next Door: Joan Crawford, a Personal Biography" by Charlotte Chandler (Simon & Schuster).
