February 08, 2008

In October, several Greencastle-Antrim High School students auditioned for the District 7 Choral Festival sponsored by the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association.

Five of those students were selected to perform in this festival, which will be held Feb. 8 and 9.

The students who will be representing the Greencastle-Antrim High School Music Department are: Sallianne Crawford, Brittany Lackey, Sarah Louzon, Peter Mowen and Diana Stottlemyer.

This year's festival will include 210 of the best high school musicians from 82 school districts. The conductor for the program will be Dr. Kevin Fenton from Florida State University. The festival host is Cristal Sheaffer, director of high school vocal music at Milton Hershey School and all of the choral directors from Dauphin County.

A public concert will be presented on Saturday, at 7 p.m. in Founder's Hall Auditorium. Tickets are available prior to the concert by contacting the VPA Department at Milton Hershey School at 717-520-2057.
