Waynesboro woman injured in accident
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Waynesboro, Pa., woman was taken to Chambersburg Hospital on Saturday morning after she lost control of her vehicle and drove into a cornfield in Guilford Township, according to a Pennsylvania State Police press release.
Linda M. Clark, 32, of Waynesboro, was on Garman Drive when she lost control of the 1997 Chevrolet Blazer she was driving, police said. The vehicle struck a road sign and came to rest in the cornfield, police said.
Icy road conditions caused the accident, police said.
A hospital spokeswoman said Clark was released from the hospital Saturday.
Man cited for careless driving in I-81 crash
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Wayne, Pa., man was cited for careless driving Friday night after he fell asleep at the wheel of his vehicle on Interstate 81, and struck a guardrail, according to a Pennsylvania State Police press release.
Richard E. Doughty, 69, of Wayne, was southbound on I-81 when the accident occurred, police said. His vehicle, a 2002 Buick Park Avenue, came to rest near the Exit 5 off ramp, police said.
