A Hagerstown man was being held without bond after an incident Friday in which police say he threatened to kill a woman, according to Washington County District Court documents.
Durward Lamont Wint, 23, of 45 Wakefield Road, was charged with first- and second-degree assault, attempted first-degree rape, reckless endangerment and false imprisonment, court records show.
The woman told police that Wint threatened to kill her with a knife, cut off her clothes and tried to rape her, and choked her with a belt, according to charging documents filed by Hagerstown Police Officer J. McNew.
A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for Feb. 20.
