No shortage of candidates in Eastern Panhandle

EASTERN PANHANDLE - The deadline is over and the list is long.

Candidates wanting to run for public offices in the Eastern Panhandle had until midnight Saturday to get their paperwork in and nearly 100 candidates for various offices have filed to run.

Any filings sent by mail could continue to trickle in this week if they were postmarked in time, officials said.

The primary election is May 13 and the general election is Nov. 4.

Following are the candidates for state and local offices in Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan counties. The symbol (i) denotes incumbent.
