Frederick County superintendent to chat with parents, guardians

FREDERICK, Md. - Frederick County Public Schools' Superintendent Linda Burgee invites parents and guardians countywide to ask questions and talk informally with her on Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at 7630 Hayward Road in Frederick.

The PTA Council of Frederick County, which sponsors the chats, and Burgee have broadened the focus of the sessions from school feeder patterns to countywide education issues.

This is the last scheduled chat of the school year. If this session must be rescheduled due to inclement weather, the snow date will be March 10 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Trinity School to host information session

FREDERICK, Md. - Trinity School of Frederick has begun accepting student applications for the 2008-09 school year.


The school will host an information session for parents of prospective kindergarten and first-grade students on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Parents will have the opportunity to tour the school and meet with Trinity's kindergarten and first-grade teachers. Teachers will provide an overview of the school's kindergarten and first-grade programs, and take questions from parents.

In addition, Trinity will host an admissions open house on Friday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. for parents or friends of prospective students seeking to learn more about Trinity School. Trinity School is a co-educational, independent school serving grades kindergarten through eight.
