Silpada Designs

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Brenda McQuait of Greencastle has earned a promotion to Silver Manager as an independent Silpada Designs Representative. McQuait has been a Silpada Representative since October 2004 and in that time has experienced exciting growth in her business. This is her third promotion in three years.

Silpada Designs is a jewelry home show company.

RE/MAX Achievers

RE/MAX Achievers welcomed Jim Welk to The O'Connor Team. Welk is licensed in Maryland and Pennsylvania. He has 30 years of customer service experience.

The Herald-Mail

Kim Bain has been named magazine sales manager of The Herald-Mail. In her new role, Bain will be responsible for leading revenue generation and ad creativity efforts in all Herald-Mail magazines, including H.E.R. LocaL, Elegant Living and numerous others throughout the year. Bain has been with the company since 1988, serving as senior graphic designer in Advertising for the past six years.


Pauline Saloukas will be joining the newly created department as magazine sales representative. Saloukas, who has been with the company as an outside sales representative since September of 2004, will assume her new duties in early February. During her time at The Herald-Mail, Saloukas has worked as both a retail representative, and as an automotive/real estate representive.

Also in Advertising, Patti Barlow has accepted an outside sales representative position. Barlow has been with the company since 2002, serving as webmaster. She is a graduate of Henry County (Tenn.) High School.

Travis Miller has rejoined The Herald-Mail as a Web administrator in the newly formed Digital Media Department, where he'll be responsible for developing, monitoring and maintaining all company Web sites, and working closely with all departments to develop digital media initiatives. Miller was previously with the company from 2004-06, serving as a member of the IT staff. He is a graduate of North Hagerstown High School.

In other full-time moves, Chris Kaiser has been hired as a state zone manager in the Circulation Department. A recent graduate of Shepherd University, with a degree in mass communication, Kaiser currently works for Jefferson Security Bank.

In part-time moves, Carrie Borne and Genevieve Morua have both joined the Circulation Department. Bourne has been hired as a part-time retention representative. She is a graduate of South Hagerstown High School. Morua has joined the staff as a part-time customer service representative.

In Packaging & Distribution, Eric Allgood, Nevada Montes, William Herold and Heather Wilson have been hired as part-time inserters.

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Paul Espinosa was named Frontier's general manager in Charles Town, according to Mike Swatts, area general manager for West Virginia. In his new role, he will be responsible for the overall operations in Frontier's service territory in Eastern West Virginia, including Charles Town, Romney, Petersburg, Moorefield and Parsons.

Prior to joining Frontier Espinosa worked for Branch Banking & Trust Company as manager of its Shepherdstown and Ranson financial centers and later as a business services officer in Jefferson County. He also worked for Frontier as a sales associate in Charles Town from 2001-03.

Espinosa received a Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia Wesleyan College.

AB&C Group

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Cathy Jo Van Pelt, a direct response services manager with more than 16 years of experience in fulfillment operations and client relations, has been promoted to vice president of client services at the AB&C Group.

Van Pelt joined the AB&C Group in 1992 as one of the company's first call center representatives in its Charles Town facility. She transferred to the company's Client Services Department in 1995 and most recently worked as director of client services.

Nancy Stottlemyer, chartered property casualty underwriter and Associate in Underwriting, has joined Insurance Brokers of Maryland - Hagerstown. Stottlemyer brings with her 22 years of superior insurance knowledge and service to businesses in the Hagerstown area.

Tri-State Printing

Adam Roberson, production manager at Tri-State Printing in Hagerstown, has passed an elite production management training course for printers. Roberson trained with CPrint, Certified Printers International, at its world headquarters in Charleston, W.Va., learning systems for production management to ensure Tri-State Printing's business customers the best products and services.
