FARMINGTON, W.Va. -- Top-ranked Jefferson faced an uphill battle Saturday, coming from behind to tie North Marion before losing in overtime, 70-66.

Katie Danno scored 13 of her 20 points in the fourth quarter as the Cougars came back from a six-point deficit to tie the game at 63-63 at the end of regulation.Dezi Clinton added 20 points, while Dakeea Marshall added 13 points and nine rebounds for Jefferson (12-3), which has lost two straight. Danno had 15 rebounds.

Jessica Parker led North Marion (13-1) with 16 points while Miranda Beard added 15.

Goretti 49, Clear Spring 40

Angie Navarez scored six of her 14 points in the third quarter as St. Maria Goretti pulled away from Clear Spring.

The Gaels (12-7) led 25-22 at the half and came out pressing, getting a few easy baskets off Blazers turnovers. Goretti outscored Clear Spring 13-5 in the period.

Sarah Spierenberg had 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Gaels, while Carissa Grove finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Erica DiMercurio had five steals.

Andrea Baum and Paige Shirk had 10 each for Clear Spring.

CVCS 35, Shalom 23

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- Miranda Payne scored 13 points while Cumberland Valley Christian School took advantage of Shalom Christian's cold shooting to pull away for a Mason Dixon Christian Conference victory.

Shalom trailed 15-14 at the half and only scored nine points the rest of the game. Shalom hit 8 of 48 shots, including just 1 of 16 from 3-point range, and only 6 of 17 foul shots in its offensive shutdown.

Olivia Grove led Shalom (8-8, 6-3) with nine points, while Alexi Marquiss had 11 rebounds and four steals.

Hun School 66, Mercersburg 45

MERCERSBURG, Pa. -- Emily Gratch scored 18 points as Hun School (10-6, 3-1) defeated Mercersburg Academy in a Mid-Atlantic Prep League game.

Caroline Lovette led all scorers with 21 points, while Lauren Dobish added 11 points for the Blue Storm (6-9, 1-3).

McConnellsburg 43, Scotland 42

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. -- Michelle Baker had 16 points and seven rebounds as McConnellsburg defeated Scotland.

J.J. Deshong had nine points and Courtney McClure had four assists for the Spartans (9-9).

Shanei Williams had 18 points for Scotland (2-16).

MERCERSBURG, Pa. -- Krista Swope had 16 points as Tussey Mountain beat James Buchanan.

Anna Angle had 16 points and Sarah Harryman had nine for the Rockets (1-18).

Hun 67, Mercersburg 47

MERCERSBURG, Pa. -- Hun School thwarted Mercersburg Academy with a 3-point attack in a Mid-Atlantic Prep League contest, hitting 11 from beyond the arc.

Mike Auriemma, son of UConn women's coach Geno Auriemma, had 23 points for Hun School (8-10, 1-2), hitting seven 3-pointers. Lance Goulbourne had two treys on the way to a 22-point game.

Mercersburg (3-10, 1-3) was led by Brett Burrier's 17 points and A.J. Dean's 12 points. Each hit two 3-pointers.

CVCS 58, Shalom Christian 39

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- Scott Levy scored 18 points to lead CVCS (12-6, 7-4) over Shalom Christian in the MDCC.

Caleb Hussack had 15 points for the Flames (11-5, 6-3).

On Thursday, Shalom beat Maryland School for the Deaf 71-68. Hussack scored 22 points.

Skubon wins title

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. -- Mercersburg Academy's Garrick Skubon (19-3) defeated Johnny Watson of Forsythe Country Day School (N.C.) to win the 135-pound championship at the Christiansburg Tournament.

Mercersburg finished 15th in the team standings. Cody Barrick (26-3) placed sixth at 145 and A.J. Firestone (18-9) placed seventh at 285.
