St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Stephanie Yancy will preach this Sunday at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. communion services.

The parish choir and Colin Lodter will bring music at the later service.

Sunday school classes for all ages begin at 9 a.m. The adult forum will be taught by Yancy.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, this Sunday at the 8:15 a.m. communion service and 10:30 a.m. alternate worship service, Pastor Quentin Fleming will be preaching on the topic, The Great Physician.

Sunday school for all ages begins at 9:15 a.m.

Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, Pastor Phillip Fogarty will be celebrant at the 8 and 11 a.m. services this Sunday. Pastor Torben Aarsand will preach. Jane Drawbaugh and Tony Howell will be lay assisting ministers. The cherub choir will sing at the later service. A farewell reception for Fogarty will follow.

The 8:45 a.m. contemporary service is in Fellowship Hall. Confirmation and Sunday school classes begin at 10 a.m.


St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, the Rev. Mark Mooney will be speaking on the topic, Follow the Leader, this Sunday at the 9:30 a.m. service. Mooney and the puppets will also give a children's sermon.

Sunday school is at 10:45 a.m.

First Baptist Church, this Sunday, Pastor Thom Smith will be speaking at the 11 a.m. service on the topic, Israel's Rejection is not Total.

Sunday school for all ages begins at 9:45 a.m.

St. Catherine Eastern Orthodox Church, vespers are tonight at 6:30.

Father Dennis Buck will speak at the 10 a.m. Divine Liturgy of Zaccheus this Sunday. Church school is at 11:30 a.m.

Coffee Hour and fellowship follows in the Parish Hall.

Services during the coming week will include Divine Liturgies on Wednesday and Saturday at 10 a.m., and Friday vespers at 7:30 p.m.

Christ Reformed UCC in Cavetown, Pastor Carol Hallman will be speaking this Sunday on the topic, A Close Encounter of the Divine Kind, at the 10:30 a.m. service.

Valley Assembly of God Christian Life Center, 17544 York Road, Hagerstown, this Sunday, the Rev. Robert Jones' topic for the 10 a.m. service will be Fire Building.

Wednesday Oasis services and NuVision Youth is at 7 p.m. The topic is Helps to the Spiritual Life.

Boonsboro Bible Church, 6743 Old National Pike, Pastor Rob Welty will speak on the topic, What We Believe and Why We Believe It, at the 8 a.m. traditional and 10:35 a.m. contemporary services this Sunday.

The Lion and the Lamb cafe is at 9 a.m. Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. Interactive Bible study is at 6 p.m.

This Sunday at 7 p.m., there will be a free live simulcast debate on Atheism vs. Theism and Scientific Evidence of Intelligent Design.

Wednesday activities begin at 7 p.m. for all ages.

New Hope Church of Christ, 30 W. Salisbury St., Williamsport, Evangelist Thomas Huff will be speaking this Sunday on the topic, The Breakdown of Walls.

The service and Sunday school begin at 9 a.m. in the old Williamsport Ambulance Co. building beside the post office.

Bible study on Wednesdays is at 7 p.m. at the ambulance hall.
