Maugansville man jailed after violent domestic disturbance

January 25, 2008

WILLIAMSPORT - A violent domestic disturbance late Thursday sent a Maugansville man first to the hospital with minor injuries and then to jail without bond.

Rodney William Wolfe, 34, of 17933 Alpine Drive, has been charged with four counts of assault on police officers, one count of first-degree assault, six counts of second-degree assault, three counts of false imprisonment and four counts of violating a protective order, according to Washington County Sheriff's deputies.

At 11:20 p.m. Thursday, county and state police went to 122 W. Potomac St. in Williamsport on a complaint of a domestic disturbance and found Wolfe there in violation of a protective order, deputies said.

As Wolfe was being taken into custody, deputies said he became combative and assaulted the officers.

The resident of the home, Heather Nicole Twigg, 32, told police she had been assaulted by Wolfe who threatened to stab her with kitchen knives.
