W.Va. man arrested in undercover crack deal

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A Charles Town, W.Va., man was in Eastern Regional Jail on Friday night after police said he sold crack cocaine to an informant for the Eastern Panhandle Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, according to Berkeley County Magistrate Court records.

Travis Dante McMeans, 27, of 701 1/2 W. Washington St., was charged with distribution of crack cocaine and held on a $50,000 cash-only bond set by Magistrate JoAnn Overington.

McMeans allegedly delivered $100 worth of crack cocaine to a cooperating individual's residence in Berkeley County on Thursday, according to a complaint filed by Berkeley County Sheriff's Deputy Sgt. T.M. Snyder.
