Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Pastors Wayne Kuhns and Daryl Lehman will officiate. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

WILLIAMSPORT - Ethel V. Myers, 97, of 16505 Virginia Ave., died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at Homewood at Williamsport.
Born April 26, 1910, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles Franklin and Bessie May Bowman Myers.
She was a member of the former First Brethren Church.
She is survived by one cousin, M. Catherine Shaffer of Hagerstown.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Olive M. Stouffer.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Andrew K. Coffman Home, Hagerstown. The Rev. John D. Cozzoli will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Charles W. Ridenour, 81

Charles William "Bill" Ridenour, 81, of Hagerstown, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at his home.
Born Oct. 3, 1926, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late John William and Grace Jackson Ridenour.
He attended Hagerstown High School and graduated from Vallejo (Calif.) High School. He entered the first class of Hagerstown Junior College and transferred to Shepherd College, where he earned his bachelor of arts degree. In 1956, he received his master's degree from Western Maryland College.
He was principal of Hancock Middle School, Smithsburg Middle School, Williamsport Middle School and E. Russell Hicks School, prior to retiring in 1976.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He was a volunteer for local organizations and was the author of the "Obituary Finder" books and "Marriage Books" at Washington County Free Library.
He was a member of Elks Lodge 378, Morris Frock American Legion, VFW Post 1936, AMVETS Post 10 and DAV Post 14.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen Teach Ridenour; one sister, Ethel Barr of Falling Waters, W.Va.; one niece; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruby Garver, Ruth Grayson, Mildred Snodderly and Evelyn Bushey.
A memorial service will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown. Pastor Torben Aarsand and Pastor Phillip Fogarty will officiate.
Burial will be private in Rest Haven Cemetery.
There will be no viewing.
The family requests the omission of flowers.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Dr. Herbert Walter Lapp, 86, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at Berkeley Springs Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Born Nov. 21, 1921, in Jersey City, N.J., he was the son of the late Paul and Margaret Daberkow Lapp.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Traenkle "Larry" Lapp, on Sept. 24, 2007.
He graduated from high school in Jersey City, earned a bachelor of science degree from Seton Hall College in Jersey City and his doctorate in medicine from the University of Maryland at College Park, Md.
He retired after more than 30 years in private practice in Ellicott City, Md., and also practiced sports medicine for more than 10 years with the Howard County, Md., school system.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Berkeley Springs.
He was a member of Alderton-Dawson American Legion Post 60 of Berkeley Springs and the USS Yorktown CV-10 Association.
