Pa. state police investigate crash involving horse and buggy

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police investigated a crash Sunday morning involving a vehicle and a horse and buggy.

Police said the accident happened at 8:37 a.m. when an eastbound vehicle driven by a juvenile struck the rear of the horse and buggy in the 2600 block of Orrstown Road. The buggy was driven by Jay Paul Zimmerman, 29, no address available, and had four passengers, Ellen Zimmerman, 27, and three children ages 5 years, 3 years and 7 months, police said.

The juvenile was not identified by police. The report did not indicate if anyone was injured.

Two classic cars damaged in accident

QUINCY, Pa. - Two classic cars were struck in an accident last week on Manheim Road, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The accident occurred at 4:46 p.m. Thursday when Andrew T. Bowers, 18, of Chambersburg, lost control of a 2008 Buick Century, which ran off the road and hit three parked vehicles ? a 2004 Volkswagen Passat, a 1955 Dodge and a 1938 Studebaker, police said.
