HagerstownCommunity College

Hagerstown Community College has hired Stephen Recker of Hagerstown as its Web and multimedia coordinator. This is a new position at the college, created to enhance HCC's Web presence.

Recker has been a freelance programmer/producer for 15 years.

First National Bankof Greencastle

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - The First National Bank of Greencastle is moving forward with plans for a bank call center with the promotion of Cynthia E. Marconi of Greencastle to call center/training manager.

With more than 10 years of call center banking experience, Marconi will be responsible for the development and oversight of a bank call center and the management of the bank's employee training.


Marconi is a North Hagerstown High School graduate and attended Penn State University.

Susquehanna Bank

Susquehanna Bank added Terry Drankiewicz of Keedysville to its business services team. In Drankiewicz's new position - business services relationship manager at Susquehanna Bank's Hagerstown headquarters - she manages the inflows and outflows of cash from business clients. She has 15 years of local banking experience.

Drankiewicz will be the primary contact for a portfolio of Washington County-based business clients.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage

Clarence Horst, branch vice president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage's Hagerstown office, announces that Jeanne Pino was the top producer for December.

Advantage Realty

Advantage Realty announced that Carol Price was the top producing agent in 2007 by volume and transactions. Chris Dickerson was the second top producer by volume.

Karen Horejs recently completed a specialized course in customer service referral-based business conducted by the Council of Residential Specialists of the National Association of Realtors.

The course, conducted in Atlantic City, N.J., covered the implementation of specific ideas to add value to and ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service both during and after the buying and/or selling of a home.

Horejs is a Long & Foster Realtor.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -Prudential Franklin Associates, Realtors, in Chambersburg named the following real estate agents top agents for December: Helen Meyers of Fayetteville, Pa.; and Stacy Ott of Fayetteville.

Meyers has been with the company for 12 years. Ott has been has been there for five and a half years.


The Maryland Correctional Institution-Hagerstown recognized Robert Asper, correctional officer lieutenant, as supervisor of the quarter for his efforts in the area of environmental compliance and safety.

Asper has been employed by the State of Maryland since 1990.


The Maryland Correctional Institution-Hagerstown recognized Kirk Layton, correctional case management specialist II, as employee of the month for his efforts as a case manager.

Layton has been employed by the State of Maryland since 1996.

Fountain Head Country Club

The Fountain Head Country Club has named Michael G. Callas director of food and beverage. He will oversee all food and beverage operations, including dining room operations, banquets and catering.

Callas has more than 29 years of hospitality experience and is a graduate of Florida State University.

Shepherd University

Shepherdstown, W.Va. - Mary Clare Eros of Shepherdstown has been named to the Shepherd University Board of Governors by West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin III.

Eros retired from Jackson & Kelly, PLLC, where she was a partner and the administrative manager in Martinsburg. As an attorney, she has practiced in areas including banking, bankruptcy, contracts, real estate and corporate defense.

Eros completed her second appointed term on the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission in 2007 and served for two years as chairwoman of the commission. In 2006-07, Eros was the commission's liaison representative to the Shepherd University Presidential Search Committee. Eros was a member of the Shepherd College Board of Advisors at the time of her appointment to the Higher Education Policy Commission in 2001.

The Shepherd University Board of Governors is a 12-member governing body made up of lay members appointed by the governor and three institutional representatives elected by their constituent groups - students, faculty, and classified staff.
