UPDATED: Closings and cancellations

The following school systems organizations have announced cancellations due to the weather:

In Berkeley County, W.Va.:



· Berkeley County Schools will be closed Friday because of the inclement weather, according to Jaimee Borger, the district's director of communcations.

She said that last Thursday's exam schedule will be be in effect on Tuesday. Schools also are closed on Monday for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

· Martinsburg Christian Academy and Faith Christian Academy are closed Friday.

· Classes and activities at the Mountain State University campus in Martinsburg, W.Va., are cancelled Friday.

· The Blue Ridge Community and Technical College campus in Martinsburg will open at 11 a.m. Friday.

In Jefferson County, W.Va.:



· Jefferson County Schools are also closed Friday, according to their Web site.

· Central Office open at 10 a.m. 261 employees report at 10 a.m.

In Morgan County, W.Va.:



· Morgan County Schools are closed Friday. Employees follow Reporting Code A.

Washington County



· The Alzheimer's Association Family Program on the Basics of Alzheimer's disease being held at the Washington Co. Commission on Aging at 140 W. Franklin St. at 7 p.m. Thursday has been cancelled. The presentation has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 31, at 7 p.m. at the same location. The presentation is Free and the public is welcome to attend. In Frederick County, Md.:



· In Frederick County, the Chief Election Judge training scheduled for Thursday has been canceled. The new training is scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. Those who cannot attend on Jan. 19 should call the elections office at 301-600-1006 to reschedule. For more information on voter registration, call the Board of Elections at 301-600-VOTE (8683).

Fulton County, Pa.



· Schools in the Southern Fulton and Central Fulton districts are on two-hour delay Friday.
