January 17, 2008

The Washington County Commission on Aging will hold the AARP Driver Safety Program on Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Volunteer Fire Co. of Halfway at 11114 Lincoln Ave., Hagerstown.

The class will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Gwilym Reese will be the instructor.

The class costs $10 per person. Make checks payable to AARP.

If class is canceled, enrollees will be notified and registration fees returned or held for the next scheduled class. The class is designed to help drivers improve their skills and prevent traffic accidents. AARP's Driver Safety Program is approved in every state, and automobile insurance companies in some states provide premium reductions to those who have taken the class. Classes are open to drivers of all ages.
