The First National Bank of Mercersburg

MERCERSBURG, Pa. -David W. Cupp has joined The First National Bank of Mercersburg as operations/branch administration officer.

Cupp has almost 20 years in the banking industry, working in cash management, business development and lending.

Department of Social Services

The following four people have been appointed to positions with Washington County Department of Social Services:

· Tiffany L. Bloyer was appointed to the position of personnel officer. Her responsibilities will include recruitment, salary and benefit administration, and employer and employee relations.

Bloyer has a bachelor's degree in applied behavioral science from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science in human resource management from the University of Maryland.


She previously worked as personnel officer with the Frederick County Department of Social Services.

· Gerrianne M. Hammond was named fiscal services chief. Her responsibilities will include supervising all accounting functions, performing internal auditing, budget and contract management, and procurement.

She has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Shippensburg University and has been a certified public accountant since 1987. She has more than 20 years of accounting and auditing experience, including operating and managing her own CPA practice.

· L. Bruce Massey was appointed to the position of assistant director for administration. His responsibilities will include supervising the finance office, budget and contract management, procurement,human resources and information technology.

Massey has worked for the Washington County Department of Social Services as director of Human Resources and Public Relations since September 2000.

He holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Salisbury State College and 26 years of governmental knowledge and experience.

· Renzie D. Silver was appointed to the position of staff accountant. Silver's responsibilities will include general accounting, monitoring multiple program budgets and managing accounts payable, inventory and fixed assets.

Silver is a graduate of Shepherd College, now Shepherd University, with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He has 13 years of accounting experience.

Records Management Solutions

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Records Management Solutions, a document destruction and storage company, has appointed Kevin Knowles to the position of vice president of business development.

Knowles will be responsible for building and directing RMS's market strategy throughout West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle.

Knowles has more than 20 years of experience in client development and customer relations. He came to RMS from Knowles Marketing Solutions, where he was president and owner.

MIDDLETOWN, Md. -Dawn Domalik has been promoted from unit to division manager.

She was promoted by the fashion jewelry company for meeting or exceeding her personal sales and recruiting goals.

Karen Louise Reilly

Karen Louise Reilly, a nationally certified massage therapist and registered aromatherapist, recently completed training in Chinese Medical Approaches to Pain sponsored by the Maryland Acupuncture Society.

The workshop covered different approaches to resolving acute and chronic pain using techniques from traditional Chinese medicine.

She is to participate in the Holistic Pain Management Seminar on Jan. 26 at Celebrate! Health & Wellness Center in Hagerstown.

Jack GaughenRealtor ERA

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Sales professionals Jean Rosenberger and Darrell Morgan were recognized by the Waynesboro office of Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA for their performances in November.

Rosenberger, who has more than 20 years of experience in the real estate business, is licensed in Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Morgan is licensed in Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Rose Hill Cemetery

The trustees of Rose Hill Cemetery, at a November meeting, elected the following trustees to office for the coming year:

J. Roger Finn, president; John H. Urner, vice president; D. Blaine Weaver, treasurer; and Robert Startzman, secretary.

Jeanne F. Singer Esq.

Jeanne Forrester Singer Esq., of the Law Offices of Jeanne F. Singer, Hagerstown, recently completed an eight-month leadership development program sponsored by Leadership Maryland.

Leadership Maryland held a celebration for the 51 statewide members of the 15th class on Dec. 4 at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore.

Singer has a Bachelor of Science from Boston University and a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center.
