McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - A 21-year-old Fort Littleton, Pa., man died Friday morning from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 522 about one mile north of the borough, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Fulton County Coroner Daryl Heckman said Robert J. Roles Jr., of 31992 Great Cove Road, was pronounced dead on arrival at Fulton County Medical Center.

Roles died of multiple blunt force trauma, Heckman said.

Police said the crash occurred at 6:05 a.m. near McGoverns Lane in Todd Township. Roles was driving a sport utility vehicle south when it went off the road, struck a utility pole and rolled over, police said.

Roles, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle, police said.

Heckman said it was raining at the time of the accident, but that the section of road was straight. The road was closed for more than three hours while the crash was investigated and the scene was cleared, he said.
