BOYS BASKETBALL



STEELTON, Pa. - Josh Proctor scored a game-high 25 points and Lance Chisholm added 19 points as Steel-High (7-2, 5-1) beat No. 5 Chambersburg 70-55 in the Mid-Penn Commonwealth on Thursday night.

Armond Perez had 14 points, DeVonte Merritt had 11 points and seven rebounds, Darryl Peoples had 11 points and Ben Eby had eight points and seven assists for the Trojans (7-6, 5-4).

No. 1 Hedgesville 63, West Anchorage 40

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Maurice Newby scored 21 points and J.R. Mayles added 18 as Hedgesville won its first game at the Alaska Airlines Shootout.

Jordan Reed had nine points for the Eagles, who reamined undefeated at 10-0.

Derrick Moore scored 18 points for West Anchorage.

MSD 58, Heritage 57

Andrew Hendershot made two 3-pointers in the final 15 seconds to give Heritage Academy a chance, but the Eagles came up short against Maryland School for the Deaf.

Hendershot finished with 17 points, including four 3s. Steven Barthalow had a game-high 22 points and Hamilton Stamper had eight points, 14 rebounds and six blocks for the Eagles (8-2).

Broadfording 59, Highland View 50

Armondo Miller scored 16 points and added nine rebounds to lead the Lions over the Tartans.

Devin Gourdine had 14 points and Steven Economes added 10 points and seven rebounds for Broadfording (8-6).

Kenzer Herbert scored 17 points for Highland View (3-3). Nathan Zollman added 13 points and six rebounds, while Tyrell Franks had nine rebounds, four blocks and four steals and Marvin Anyona had four assists.

Clear Spring 46, Southern Fulton 44

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Jordan Thurber scored a team-high 12 points, including the game-winning basket with two seconds left, to lift the Blazers on Wednesday night.

Keith Gilchrist had 11 points and nine assists for Clear Spring (7-2). Bret Turner had eight points, Kyle Crist had six points and six steals and Cody Englehart had four blocks.

Jake McCarthy and Lucas Mellott each scored 15 points for Southern Fulton (10-4).

No. 4 Hedgesville 63, Bishop Walsh 28

CUMBERLAND, Md. - Greyson Brooks led a balanced Hedgesville attack, scoring 11 points as the Eagles rolled to victory.

Brittany Boarman had 10 points and Ciera Nicholson and Brittany Kolb each added nine points for Hedgesville (10-2).

Chloe Detrick had nine points for Bishop Walsh (3-12).

No. 7 So. Fulton 41, McConnellsburg 27

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Chelsea Hollenshead scored 12 points to lead Southern Fulton over McConnellsburg in the Sideling Hill League.

Keena Elbin added 10 points for the Indians (9-3, 6-2).

Courtney McClure had 12 points for the Spartans (5-7, 3-5), while Casey Pollock added nine points and eight rebounds.

MSD 37, Heritage 29

Morgan McIntire scored a game-high 16 points, but it wasn't enough for Heritage Academy as the Eagles fell to Maryland School for the Deaf (11-2).

Caroline Clark grabbed nine rebounds for Heritage (8-5).

Broadfording 46, Highland View 24

Katie Connolly scored a game-high 17 points, leading the visiting Lions to victory.

Emily Stransky had 13 points and 16 rebounds, and Hannah Young added eight points for Broadfording (7-8).

Jessi Cain, Krystle Cartagena and Lornah Misati had six points each for Highland View (2-5).
